Private DNS : ShieldAndroidTV Netflix gets my DNS servers from my router and uses them no matter what Private DNS is set to. It's hardcoded into their app. The DNS servers on my router are my pihole server, so I can see all the requests from the Shield, and the only ones I ever see with Private DNS … Unable to change DNS on my Shield : ShieldAndroidTV I just got a Shield, and all working fine except for using custom DNS. When I edit the DNS and change to Static IP, my connection breaks and won't work until I revert back to DHCP. This happens on both Ethernet and WiFi.
