Jul 11, 2017 · I also went into the Local Group Policy Editor > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Network List Manger and I changed the settings to make Unidentified Networks respond as private networks (this was an idea on other discussion boards). This did not change anything either. I also put my computer on the same vlan and ran a network scanner.

This fixed my Unidentified Connection problem right away. Follow these steps (Windows 7): 1. Click on Start. 2. Click on the search bar at the bottom. 3. Type: msconfig. 4. Press Enter. 5. You should have a new window named System Configuration. 6. Click on the Services tab. 7. Scroll down the list until you find: Network Access Protection Agent.

No Internet Local Area Connection Unidentified Network (error) after feature update to ver 1703. Is there anyway to block this and future update, all I want is security updates, nothing else.
